Why we use cookies

Our website uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of our website for security purposes and to identify users when they log in. This not only helps us to provide you with a better experience, but also to help us improve our website and services.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of data that a website asks your browser to store on your computer or mobile device. The cookie allows the website to "remember" your actions or preferences over time. Most browsers support cookies, but users can set their browsers to decline them and can delete them whenever they like.

What can you do if you do not want us to collect information about you with our use of cookies?

What types of cookies do we use?

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our website. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our website, use a shopping cart or make use of e-billing services.
  • Security cookies. These cookies are required to enable and support our security features and to help us to detect and therefore prevent malicious activity which may cause a security risk.
  • Analytical/performance cookies. These cookies allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our website when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily. We use services from Amplitude for this purpose, see the cookie list for more details.
